'I like him, he likes her", is about a girl named Alice, she is about to start her first year of high school. She has the perfect life, with the best friends and boyfriend that she could ever have. Her boyfriends name is Patrick. Hes very intellegent. One day Alice has a sleepover for all her closest friends and her boyfriend. They have a great time...until the next day. One of Alices friends shows her the pictures she took of the night before and points a specific one out. It was a picture of what seemed like her boyfriend and her friend Penny were kissing. She talks to her friends and decides that she needs to confront Patrick about this situation. Patrick tells Alice that it was a trick and they werent really kissing they just put their heads in the right position to make it look like it. Later on. patrick and Alice break up and she is totally and completely shocked when she finds out Patrick asked out Penny and they were now going out. Alice is angered for quite a bit and she feels as if she has been betrayed. In the meantime her father has a music shop and Alice starts to work there, she no more has time for her friends so it keeps her mind off things. Her and her father comfort each other because his fiancee is in england teaching and is coming back in a couple months for the engagement. Her friend tells her later on in the book that the principal to Alices school is going to visit her fathers fiancee, just to find out that he did, but his fiancee turned him down. Alice realizes she cant let this hurt her anymore. Summer comes by and her and 2 friends become camp councilers so they can spend time together and have a good time. During camp she has no idea whats going on in her community or clique. When she comes back you would be surprised what she find out.
